Exhibitionism - Wikipedia
Today Gwen and I went to the by now well-known Bodies exhibit that displays preserved human cadavers, purportedly so we can learn more about the human body and give up smoking. We were royally pissed off to discover that we were right. This is a great illustration of the way in which men are neutral and women deviants from the standard that is, men are people and women are women. The first 8 or so bodies were all male and all in action doing masculine things. The first female body we encountered there were only two out of more than a dozen stood immediately outside the fetal development hall and alongside the dissections of the genitals and reproductive organs. She was standing with her hands on her hips, with her breasts and hips thrust forward, and on her tip toes as if she were wearing high heels.

Although women artists have been involved in the making of art throughout history, their work, when compared to that of their male counterparts, has been often obfuscated, overlooked and undervalued. Many of their works have been wrongly attributed to men artists. Additionally, art forms that have gained this distinction are, as in the case of both textile and fabric arts, demoted to categories like " arts and crafts ", rather than fine art. Women in art have been faced with challenges due to gender biases in the mainstream fine art world.
Exhibitionism is the act of exposing in a public or semi-public context those parts of one's body that are not normally exposed — for example, the breasts , genitals or buttocks. The practice may arise from a desire or compulsion to expose themselves in such a manner to groups of friends or acquaintances, or to strangers for their amusement or sexual satisfaction or to shock the bystander. In law, the act of exhibitionism may be called indecent exposure , "exposing one's person", or other expressions. Public exhibitionism by women has been recorded since classical times, often in the context of women shaming groups of men into committing, or inciting them to commit, some public action.
