This is a list of characters that appeared on the American animated television series The Powerpuff Girls on the Cartoon Network. All of the characters on this list appear more than once in the series, and contribute to the episode plotlines. The titular Powerpuff girls are named Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, and also appear in the series' reboot and in Powerpuff Girls Z. In June , Craig McCracken , a student of the animation program of CalArts , initially created a drawing of three girls on a small sheet of orange construction paper as a birthday card design for his brother. Then after drawing the three little girls he started imagining them in superhero situations. Although the name Whoopass had to be dropped for the channel to include it in the What a Cartoon! Instead they were renamed Powerpuff.
Bunny the 'Bad' Powerpuff Girl Is Good and Townsville Is Neoliberal Scum

It centers on Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, three kindergarten -aged girls with superpowers. The girls all live in the fictional city of Townsville with their father and creator, a scientist named Professor Utonium, and are frequently called upon by the city's mayor to help fight nearby criminals and other enemies using their powers.
Some people never get over their first heartbreak. It is a topic that I frequently revisit when I am stoned; one that lends itself to falling down Wiki-holes, combing through forums, or rambling to your friends. In the episode, our three Powerpuff Girls—Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup—are exhausted by the impossible balancing act of being the sole kindergarten-aged protectors of a city constantly under attack by giant monsters AND the daughters of a professor who assigns them a laundry-list of chores.
